Mondrian Art-Glass Building Saigon
Located on a bustling street in the heart of District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, the Mondrian Art-Glass Building is a multifunctional officetel distinguished by its artistic colored glass facade. This innovative design is the result of LaPerle’s architectural team, who collaborated extensively to meet expectations of client, a Vietnamese-Japanese company. LaPerle creatively optimized the limited space typical of Vietnamese tube houses by converting the basement into a commercial area instead of a parking lot and integrating a rooftop Zen garden for relaxation, thereby enhancing staff well-being and productivity.
The colored double-glazed curtain wall maximizes views of the green park opposite and, with heat-absorbing tinted films, features inter-floor ventilation to improve air circulation and mitigate the in-house greenhouse effect. The choice of high-tech products was driven by our client’s preference for Japanese cutting-edge technologies, offering high aesthetic value, cost-effectiveness, and environmentally sustainable materials that meet thermal and acoustic insulation requirements.
