Japan’s demand is constantly increasing while architects and engineers after graduation have not found suitable jobs
Not only the architecture and construction industry, in all industries in general, Japan is in high demand for personnel. While their domestic workforce is continuously decreasing due to an aging population and a current youth workforce who are less inclined in white collar jobs, the number of foreign workers working has been increasing every year. Even Japan has developed programs to promote the quality of these foreign workers, creating conditions for high-quality human resources to stick with Japan for a long time.
For the specific skills program alone, the number of foreigners working in Japan has increased dramatically from 2019 to 2021 with nearly 50,000 employees. In particular, the architecture – construction sector is also on the rise, nearly 5,000 people in 2021 from more than 100 workers in the same industry in 2019.
Meanwhile, students majoring in architecture and construction graduate from school each year in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southwest region, approximately 2,000 people, but nearly half of them have not found a suitable job or have to work outside the industry. .
An obvious paradox is that the Japanese market has many jobs but lacks people, while the Vietnamese market is full of people but lacks the right skills to meet the needs of the Japanese market.
The cooperation between LaPerle and Tam Viet will find a solution to this paradox, with the long-term goal of training high-quality Vietnamese architects and engineers to meet the most demanding requirements of the architecture industry. architecture – construction in Japan as well as Japanese companies in Vietnam.
