FOUNDER OF LAPERLE – ARCHITECT KHIEM NGUYEN
Khiem Nguyen, International Associate of The American Institute of Architects (AIA), is an architect & educator, boasts almost 20 years of professional experience in architectural design. As the Founder & CEO of LaPerle, he oversees overall operations and is deeply involved in every stage of the design process, from conceptualizing designs to preparing construction documentation for clients of over 100 projects. Appointed as the country representative for AIA International in Vietnam from 2021, he has organized and curated AIA International Conferences and Symposiums for AIA in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Recently, Khiem also represented Vietnam at prestigious international architecture and business events, including the Made EXPO Milan and the Partnering in Business with Germany program.
After graduating with a Distinction in his Thesis from the University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City (UAH) in 2006, a premier institution for modern architectural education in Vietnam, he has amassed extensive experience in architectural design consultancy, heritage conservation, and urban development projects across both Vietnam and the UK. In 2019, he was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to pursue a master’s degree at the Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management in Fulbright University Vietnam (FUV).
Currently, as a visiting lecturer, Khiem Nguyen teaches and conducts workshop research at University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City (UAH) and Hoa Sen University (HSU). He has also been invited as a speaker at public events such as TedxTalk Dakao and Italian Design Day master classes, where he shares his expertise and passion for architecture and heritage with the next generation of architects.
